Born in St. Petersburg, FL, and raised in a home on the shore of Tampa Bay, I had a wonderful, outdoorsy kind of childhood which instilled a lifelong love and appreciation of nature and the outdoors. I originally came to NC to attend Wake Forest University, where I graduated with a degree in Education and subsequently taught at the elementary school level.
For as long as I can remember, I have had a deep interest in issues pertaining to health and wellness, and this eventually led to a career in Bodywork. I returned to school and graduated from the FTCC School of Therapeutic Massage in 2000. I have since completed advanced training and certification in the areas of Myofascial Release, Medical Massage, Healing Touch, The MELT Method, and Yomassage. In 2023 I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training.
